Nope, we don’t do shaves, dye or perm your hair.
No scalp massages either.
Nothing sophisticated here. We simply cut your hair and if you ask we’ll shampoo it and maybe put on some gel if that’s what you want.
That’s all.
We offer a service that seems simple enough. If you don’t want to talk to us, we’ll keep quiet. If you want to chat, we can do that too. However, one way or another, our expert staff will quietly be taking into account the texture of your hair, how it grows and what style suits you best. We’re sure you will be happy with the result and will become a regular visitor to our two Glasgow barber shops.
“The Barber” also known as “Front Room Hairdressing” opened in 7 Stuart Street, Milngavie in November 1991 in the “front room” of what was in years gone by “a room and kitchen with outside toilet” of an old tenement.
“The Barber Too” opened in 189 Hyndland Road in Glasgow’s West End in March 2009.

Just walk in.
Nothing simpler.
If we’re busy cutting we won’t be long. Just settle into our sofa and read a paper. Or wander about and look at our paintings.
We stock hair products. You can buy if you want to, but you won’t get any sales talk. After all, most men just want a straightforward gents haircut with no frills attached.
P.S. Oops. Almost forgot. We ARE sophisticated after all. We have an ever changing display of original paintings by significant artists. They are all for sale. We’ll tell you more about the artists later.
